Adromeda isn't a Mass Effect sequel. It is a galactic terraforming simulator set in the Mass Effect universe. It is RPG lite. . . .And if the pre-release hype had admitted that(and waited until the game was actually finished to release), Andromeda might be firmly in the "Fun, but Mid" category instead of entrenched as one of Bioware's worst failures. A sad game to play, so much promise.. I really enjoyed this game but it is a terrible Mass Effect game. It wanted to be so much more and you can see that. If you want to play this then go in with an open mind an no Mass Effect goggles on. Standalone it is fine and very fun worth a playthrough for the sale price.
I wanted to like this game. I really did. After how long it's been out, I thought the bugs would have been patched, and I loved the first 3 games but... It runs an EA launcher. It runs the EA launcher that requires you to sign in with MFA every time you boot the game, refuses to work with modern browsers, which makes it not just practically unplayable, but literally unplayable. I could not get the game to launch...
