The value story
The lowest price on record is $7.49, set in September 2026. Its cuts run 50 percent off as a rule. There have been 35 in the 3 years tracked, about 4 weeks apart. No sale on record has reached $5.22, the price it would take to be a BANGER.
Value puts it in the top 13 percent of the games it competes with. It is pricier than 95 percent of its genre, and better reviewed than 97 percent. Manifold Garden ($19.99, scores 64) outscores it, and so does NaissanceE (free, scores 64). Both sit among its closest neighbours.
Critics scored it 84. Players sit 11 points higher at 95 percent, which usually means a game that plays better than it reviews.
Of the 800 Steam-purchase reviews this site sampled, 23 come from buyers who refunded the game, sampled from reviews written August 2023 to August 2026. Inside the two-hour refund window, 84 percent of the 1,052 reviews written there were positive, against 95 percent overall, and those are 9 percent of everything written about it.
Valve rates it Steam Deck Verified, and at 4.1 hours it is short enough to finish on one.

Viewfinder is a weird one. The game is pretty short, but I still found myself getting bored with it fairly quickly. The puzzle mechanics change with each chapter, but the difficulty basically stays the same for the whole game. So don't expect it to get much harder as you go. Visually, it's also kind of strange. It looks clean, but at the same time it can feel messy. Still, it's definitely a well-polished game. There...
Viewfinder is a great cozy puzzlegame with some amazing visual trickery. They game is fairly easy and does not get more difficult as you progress. Every chapter new mechanics are introduced keeping it from becoming repetitive. The game is quite short. Around 4 hours with all optional levels. I would recommend to buying it when on sale.
Very cute execution of a couple nifty perspective gimmicks. Wasn't the biggest fan of the timed ending and the narrative sadly didn't resonate as much as I was hoping, but never gets brutally difficult and generally a very pleasant and relaxing journey.
