The value story
June 2026 is where it bottomed out, at $9.99. It has been discounted 22 times in the 3 years tracked here, typically at 20 percent off, with about 6 weeks between sales. Today it is at full price, and its last discount ended 8 days ago.
Value puts it in the top 21 percent of the games it competes with. It is pricier than 67 percent of its genre, and better reviewed than 83 percent. Among the games that feel like it, Ziggurat 2 ($24.99, scores 70) beats it on value, while it beats Project Warlock II ($16.99, scores 49).
Steam's global achievement data puts about 6 percent of players at this game's ending achievement. On a 9.9-hour game, the hours short of it still count in its price per hour. This site sampled 373 of its Steam-purchase reviews; 4 were written by buyers who refunded it, sampled from reviews written November 2023 to August 2026. Inside the two-hour refund window, 89 percent of the 189 reviews written there were positive, against 92 percent overall, and those are 22 percent of everything written about it.
Finishing takes 9.9 hours; clearing it takes 27, which is 2.7 times the campaign.
It carries Valve's Deck Verified rating and runs 9.9 hours, about as long as a handheld game wants to be.

I've been an Apogee fan for many years, back in the days of shareware! FPS games are in my blood and this game is no different. They truly created a beautiful world and one heck of an epic game to make us proud!
Addicting boom-shooty fun. Good music, sfx, gibbs, and colorful sprite work that keeps things fun. The lack of curved surfaces in world geometry is a limitation that developers use to focus creativity and I never once regretted not seeing a circle. WARNING: If you absolutely MUST find every secret on a level then be prepared to play with a map open on another screen because some of these secrets are DEVILISHLY...
