Quake 2 hits harder than you expect, it feels great the further in you get, and the expansions are all supreme. genuinely one of my favorite shooters of all time, especially when you get the minigun and railgun. one of those that you just gotta try.

This was the first shooter I got on my first own PC. I love the world, gameplay, and also enjoyed putting my own alternate soundtracks inserting my own CD instead of the game disc.
when it came out people hated it because it was not like quake 1 and quake 4(we are not speaking about 3rd one) was not quake 2 But honestly for me quake 2 was peak old school shooter along side doom I loved the phasing of it. Quake 1 its a game that is always constantly trying to hate you. While Quake 2 rewards your good pacing vs your enemies. I love the weapon Variation here to the extreme even more then doom...
