More about Unknown Tapes
Of the 388 Steam-purchase reviews this site sampled, 11 come from buyers who refunded the game, sampled from reviews written December 2024 to August 2026. That is more refunded reviewers than 9 in 10 paid games this site has sampled to the same depth, and among the 2,362 games in its genre sampled this deeply, 236 have a larger share. The typical game sits near 5 in 1,000, so the score docks it. 2 of the 11 refunded reviewers were past Valve's two-hour window when they wrote the review.

It was my first 'horror' game. The atmosphere does a good job of keeping you on edge the whole time. Ambient noises make you check over your shoulder even when no creatures are nearby. Graphics are great, controls are easy...

Atmosphere was great, especially the first open areas where you're afraid anything could appear at any moment. Visuals are awesome too, with really cool dinosaur models. The story has some very interesting ideas like the MARP-1, although...
As much as I wanted to like this game, this game wasn't what I wanted it to be. BTW, this is my personal opinion on the game. I know others would like this, but personally, I didn't really like it. Before I go on a rant, let me go over some things I liked: - The dinosaur designs were great, as well as the variety. - The VHS-style camera was unique, and it gave a really nice atmosphere to the game. - Every screenshot...
