The value story
September 2024 is where it bottomed out, at $7.99. Its cuts run 20 percent off as a rule. There have been 18 in the 2 years tracked, about 6 weeks apart. Today's $7.99 at 20 percent off matches the lowest price in the record. $6.93 is what it would take to make this a BANGER, and nothing in its history goes that low.
Take the discount away and it is a 78. With it, 82.
On value it sits in the top 1 percent of its genre. It is better reviewed than 99 percent of its genre. Among the games that feel like it, THE LONGING ($14.99, scores 84) beats it on value, while it beats McPixel 3 ($9.99, scores 72).
3 of the 379 Steam-purchase reviews sampled here come from buyers who refunded the game, sampled from reviews written September 2024 to August 2026. Inside the two-hour refund window, 95 percent of the 479 reviews written there were positive, against 99 percent overall, and those are 9 percent of everything written about it.
At 4.6 hours it is a handheld-sized game, and Valve rates it Deck Verified.

What players say
This is my all time favorite game because it is so well done and makes you feel like you aren't even playing a game. I played initially the original release of OneShot which I found so immersive and 4th wall breaking to the point it was mind-blowing and really locks you into the story. This release I think is amazing for keeping everything where you need it plus adds collectables that I enjoyed a lot to find. I will...
This game is one of my favorites atp because how peak it is. It almost made me cry and it genuinely has one of the best story games you will see out there for just this price. Would play it again and get all achievements again of how good it was.
