DOOM: The Dark Ages is the prequel to the critically acclaimed DOOM (2016) and DOOM Eternal that tells an epic cinematic story worthy of the DOOM Slayer’s legend. DOOM The Dark Ages is a pretty solid game the story was decent enough and so is the gameplay the only thing i miss are the actuall glorykills and not just punching demons in the face even doe there are a couple of animations for it the story dlc was also great we got to see doomguy in his past again with his iconic shotgun absolute peak
I haven't completed the game yet, but so far it is really good. Not the best Doom game, with my favorite being eternal, but that game and 2016 doom set a very high bar that was unlikely to be exceeded and this game would have been boring if they didn't try anything new. I would recommend playing 2016 and 2020 doom and then trying out Doom The Dark Ages. This is a great game with a studio that has been making...
There's a lot to like about this game, but it falls flat on what actually matters at it's core. The characters, enemies, weapons, environments, and cinematics are all great but the gameplay itself is more frustrating than fun. Bloating each encounter with an insane amount of fodder just results in there being an impossible amount of projectiles and damage to account for. Almost every death feels unfair when the game...
