What drives the score
How to read this
Every input gets a grade, S to D, read from the buyer's side. The score is multiplicative, so an input only counts as raising when it sits near the top of its own scale. Anything with real room left is holding the score back, because that room is the gap to 100. ▲ marks a lift, ▼ a drag or a dock, ? an input we do not have, • a fact this genre's score does not use. The exact weights stay secret.
The value story
June 2026 is where it bottomed out, at $1.49. It has been discounted 44 times in the 11 years tracked here, typically at 70 percent off, with about 5 weeks between sales.
It is pricier than 83 percent of its genre, and less well reviewed than 75 percent. Among the games that feel like it, Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 ($19.99, scores 40) beats it on value, while it beats Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War III ($39.99, scores 2).
77 on Metacritic, 69 percent from players. A gap this way round is usually launch damage or a slow decline.
Of the 682 Steam-purchase reviews this site sampled, 2 come from buyers who refunded the game, sampled from reviews written March 2020 to September 2026. Inside the two-hour refund window, 29 percent of the 442 reviews written there were positive, against 69 percent overall, and those are 9 percent of everything written about it.
Finishing takes 21.4 hours; clearing it takes 53, which is 2.5 times the campaign.

What players say
I so badly wanted to like it because i love the lore, i love the ships, i love the story BUT for the love of the emperor you might as well run into the bloody sun because if your defending the enemy just straight up ignores you, if your stealing info they yoink it right back and leave immediatly like theres no cooldown on warp jump and for bombarbment they stick it across the entire feild and the enemy magicly gets...
This game is friggin' impossible, specifically escort missions. If you like brutally hard on easy mode, then this game is for you. Otherwise, pass, and save yourself some money.
Warhammer games are kinda hit and miss, some are superb, some are mediocre or even trash, thankfully we got now quite decent range of them genre-wise. Space ship combat tactics game is really good fit considering abundant lore of void combat in the franchise and scale of those engagements. So, gameplay covers two parts - combat and tactic map\shipyard, combat takes like 95-99% of the time, since on combat map you...

Battlefleet Gothic: Armada (Classic) scores 26/100 on the BANG Score (a skip). The BANG Score rates what a game is worth for the money. Via Steam BANGERS. https://steambangers.com/game/363680/battlefleet-gothic-armada-classicThe BANG Score is one number for value, 0 to 100: price against how it reviews and how long it was built to be. It answers the money question and stops there; whether the game is for you is still your call.
Reviews set the ceiling and price moves you inside it, so a cheap game that reviews badly cannot climb. Ratings from few reviewers are shrunk toward the middle, so 100 percent from nine people does not outrank 96 percent from ninety thousand. Length comes from HowLongToBeat where it can be matched, measured against a per-genre floor so a five-hour narrative game is judged against other narrative games rather than against a sixty-hour RPG. Where no verified length exists the score says so and carries a dock, because the biggest input is then a guess. The full method, including where it is weak → Steam reviews as of Sep 23, price as of Sep 23.
