I bought this game 13 years ago when I was but a trifling zygote swimming in a sea of childlike wonder. I purchased this game. I thought the space battleships were cool. I thought that the word "campaign" was cool. I thought it would be cool. But playing this game is like listening to a microwave that never stops beeping. This game feels like a driver's license renewal appointment, which you could only make 3 weeks...
Last played at the end of NOV 2024 and had no issues at all. Tried to play in 2025 and it would not work despite trying every fix you will find around the internet. Tried playing now in 2026 and still no "fix" works. Absolute BS that this is being sold like this when the devs can't be Fed to actually fix it. DO. NOT. BUY.
If you like Warhammer 40k, huge epic starships duking it out in space, tactical gameplay with interesting options and a dynamic strategic campaign to go with it - go for it. It's not as faithful to the Battlefleet: Gothic wargame as I'd have hoped, but it's faithful enough to its main concepts and fun even when picked up after a long time.
