The value story
It has never been cheaper than $1.19. That was October 2016. Its cuts run 50 percent off as a rule. There have been 44 in the 11 years tracked, about 12 weeks apart.
Value puts it in the top 1 percent of the games it competes with. It is cheaper than 69 percent of its genre, and better reviewed than 99 percent. The nearest things to it, Decarnation ($14.99, scores 59) and Poppy Playtime (free, scores 76), are both worse buys on this math.
7 of the 434 Steam-purchase reviews sampled here come from buyers who refunded the game, sampled from reviews written May 2020 to August 2026. Inside the two-hour refund window, 86 percent of the 670 reviews written there were positive, against 95 percent overall, and those are 19 percent of everything written about it.

a close friend of mine wanted me to play this game; i hadn't touched or thought about it in years, but the revisit years later is quite pleasant. im not sure why imscared never rose to fame like other indie horror in its era, but regardless, the game is worth revisiting. i look forward to seeing what this developer makes next.
Genuinely one of the best games I've ever played and I'm not exaggerating. Though it's a bit of a process to reset if you do the loneliness ending, it's very straightforward. Huge mindf*ck and the artstyle is *chefs' kiss*.
It's not a game, it's an experience. What i didn't like, was that the game is only a introduction to the vague story, and it really "begins" with the 2022 added bonus content after all achievements and the final end, so it's lost to many early players. You get sent on a scavenger hunt including Youtube, itch io, and the file system, led by breadcrumbs and painstakingly digging through steam forum and guides, with...
