It is pricier than 81 percent of its genre, and less well reviewed than 70 percent. On the same math Enigmatis: The Ghosts of Maple Creek ($14.99, scores 52) and Abyss: The Wraiths of Eden ($14.99, scores 57) are the better buys, and they are the games it most resembles.

The game works (which I wish I could take for granted), and the puzzles were pretty good, so I'll recommend it. The protagonist, setting, mystery, lore, and killer's motives are all annoying, make no sense, or are just plain dumb, so be warned of that. The writer really thought they were doing something deep with this one, and didn't realize the inconsistent tone and the protagonist's barely explained superpowers...

A coherent, halfway decent story - although calling it "Ghost Files" is a stretch; the only supernatural bits are some odd trips to Limbo - weighed down by bad puzzles and a frankly unhinged amount of typos and/or translation issues, like a map where a restroom is labeled as "friendly room." The typos and puzzles are what really drags this game down, IMO. The bad voice...
