More about Arkham Horror: Mother's Embrace
Steam's global achievement data puts about 11 percent of players at this game's ending achievement. On an 8.3-hour game, the hours short of it still count in its price per hour. Of the 507 Steam-purchase reviews this site sampled, 9 come from buyers who refunded the game, sampled from reviews written March 2021 to August 2026. That is more refunded reviewers than 8 in 10 paid games this site has sampled to the same depth, and among the 2,866 games in its genre sampled this deeply, 355 have a larger share. Inside the two-hour refund window, 40 percent of the 161 reviews written there were positive, against 63 percent overall, and those are 29 percent of everything written about it.
Valve rates it Steam Deck Verified, and at 8.3 hours it is short enough to finish on one.

I'm going to be completely blunt: by an objective measure, this is a mediocre game at best, lacking complexity. It might be because the devs just didn't want to pour too much money into it, but the easy combat and linear exploration and "investigation" keeps this firmly in the...
