Broken Lines is a story-driven tactical RPG set in an alternate-history version of WWII. Lead a squad of soldiers and face the horrors of war. In the included expansion, 'The Dead and the Drunk', guide your troops through fights against both the living and the undead.

Going in without much research towards the game I ended up being quite satisfied with Broken Lines. My first goal was to try and see what this game could resemble. It was not a traditional turn based strategy game where you could overwatch and take a shot with a hit or miss ratio. This game is fundamentally broken. First of all, the difficulty feels poorly balanced. I'd say the house always wins. The RNG is more unfair and annoying than in The Darkest Dungeon. Between missions you have a sort of hub for preparing for the next mission where interactions between your soldiers also happen. Most of them have negative outcomes and make your condition worse.
