Highest Share of Refunded Reviewers
The games whose newest Steam reviews come from people who got their money back, sorted by share.
Every row here is a count. For each game this site pulls its newest Steam-purchase reviews, up to eight hundred, and counts how many carry Steam's own Product refunded label. The share is refunded reviewers over reviews sampled. This is not the game's refund rate. It sits below the real one for every game on the list, because someone who refunds inside two hours rarely writes a review at all. The floors are 1,000 reviews, 200 sampled, and at least 6 flagged, which is enough to rule out one angry weekend. That leaves 3,803.
STAR WARS™: Battlefront Classic Collection tops it, with 172 of the 800 reviews sampled written by someone who got their money back. Blood Trail is 117 of 800 off 7,525 reviews, at a BANG of 31.5. Assetto Corsa Competizione is the one that surprised me: 45 of 800 across 47,623 reviews, an 88.2, and a sim racer a lot of people bought without a wheel. 909 games on this list score 68 or better. A high share is a warning about fit, and only sometimes about quality.
Two things the sort cannot see. The sample is newest first, so a game that launched fine and broke in a patch is judged on the break, and a game that launched broken and got fixed is judged on the fix. And a delisted game keeps its reviews, so a title pulled from the store can sit at the top of this list forever with nobody able to buy it. The share is also weighted to each game's lifetime positive-to-negative mix, because the sample deliberately reads more negatives than positives; the count is raw. The score only starts docking past a line near the top tenth of well-sampled games, and 515 of these are past it.
