I love this game. As someone who is into art, I love the cell-shaded art style in this game. Cell-shaded also makes the colorful smoke not cringe anymore. The gameplay/modes are variative. There are drag race, drift, drift pro, hot pursuit (cops vs racers), gauntlet (race but with Heat 3 - 5), takeover, and more. My favourite is lockdown, I love free cars, haha. Need for Speed Unbound is the last bastion of this franchise. An unremarkable launch that turned into the last love letter to the series many grew up playing as it was sunset. Overshadowed by a large population of people that didn't know what they were talking about, Unbound provided the ability to play a racing game how you wanted to. Car customization, character customization, and a wide variety of things to do...
I bought a racing game for the first time which was NFS Heat. Really enjoyed that one but this game is not for me. Game looks worse than Heat and this graffiti art popping up is just visual diarrhea for me. And these obnoxious voice comms from these unlikable characters that I'm forced to listen to is what really annoys me. The driving feels better on this game but I just can't get past these visuals. I want a refund
