What players say
I was super hyped for this game from day one, and honestly, the gameplay itself is amazing. But it's such a shame that they messed with the co-op convenience. Why can't it just be like Rise, where you could freely hunt and level up from the start? Instead, you're forced to solo-progress your way through the main story until you encounter a boss, and only then can you call for help. And you have to keep doing this...

I like the idea of the story, I've never been too big into MH games but World is very good, the writing in this one is just SO bad. It's so corny, it seems like it relies on recycled cartoon level speeches about friendship that feels out of touch with the high stakes hunting premise. The gameplay didn't impress me either, the performance was absolutely horrible. I'm sorry this game is just not good. If u want to...
Rey dau is a master class in boss themes, design, ecology, one of my favorite monsters in the series (not the oldest vet, world start and consumed content for older gens, but i digress) I welcome qol features, I think it makes me spend more time learning and prepping for different monsters than learning how to deal with stiff inputs on certain weapons or general tedium that was present in prior titles.
