Endless Value · 80+ Hours

Written by Jordan Allen Lewis · list · updated 2h ago

Games that pay their price back many times over in sheer hours played.

18 games. That is the whole list, gated at eighty hours or more and a BANG of 78. Eighteen, out of the whole catalog, and the thinness is the most interesting thing on the page.

Long games are what dollars per hour flatters most, which is why the score gate stays on at all. Padding makes the per-hour number look better and the reviews look worse, so a game only lands here if the hours are real and people liked them anyway. Satisfactory clears at 97.2 with 107.2 hours and 276,915 reviews. Kerbal Space Program logs 113.9 hours at 93.7. Valheim scores 85.5 across 82.4 hours off 539,250 reviews, by far the biggest crowd here.

That 18 says more about the tracker than about long games. Most genuinely enormous games carry no length that long in HowLongToBeat, because main-story time for an open-ended game is either unlisted or measured against a campaign nobody actually plays that way. What survives skews to sims and idlers. Melvor Idle is on here at 1,281.2 hours and NGU IDLE at 1,407.2, and those hours are a browser tab left open, not attention. If you came looking for a long RPG, this cut misses most of them.
