About the game
The great wizard Galdryn of the Meadows has been vanquished by a deadly conspiracy within the Circle of Mages. His chief ally, Lord Davenmor, now struggles to save his kingdom from the dark forces of the conspiracy and the onslaught of Lord Barrowgrim’s army of marauders.

Recommended if you have nostalgia for this game because you played it as a child. Runs well, played it on Ubuntu 26.04, had 0 crashes during my playthrough. Skill and attribute system might be different than you remember, but it works fine in my opinion. Without nostalgia, it's a game with a rather generic story, serious late game balancing problems (you just stomp everything, even bosses feel trivial), subpar...

Even after all these years, Dungeon Lords remains a unique masterpiece in the RPG genre. The combination of deep character customization, intense real-time combat, and classic dungeon-crawling atmosphere is something modern RPGs rarely replicate. The gameplay imo is a bit better compared to the Collector's Edition. But if you're buying this game for the multiplayer, don't. The netcode is god awful. It can take upwards to 15 seconds or more for the game to finally register that you pressed left mouse to attack. Such a great game, but ruined by a somehow worse multiplayer experience.
